I'm going to have to have some outlet for all the excitement I have for the Olympics! :)

Day 1 gave us tragedy and excitement in large doses. My heart goes out to the Georgian team, Nodar's family and friends back home. How awful to come so far and end so tragically at such a young age.

Of course! I'm tracking the men's moguls - we have a few medal contenders, but you have one too! Even though he was born in Vancouver ;)

See latest note, but Dale Begg-Smith, formerly of Canada and defending Olympic champion in the men's moguls, won silver yesterday!

So, he's Canadian but competing with Australia? I never understand the rules of that and how they can be in whatever country they want lol

But yay for a medal, especially on the first day. Not bad for a country that doesn't really have snow!
