Actually, the story goes: Vinnie heads straight for Sonny, trips. Soup spills...on Tony and Dave. Sonny is high and dry and just walks out laughing.

That's where the wrong customer part comes in! Sonny walks away laughing, Dave has Tony kill Vinnie.
