Good Omens art - Vietnam

May 21, 2006 15:05

Well I made the mistake of looking through the time line for six_millennia and of course got a picture in my head for a Vietnam pic of Crowley and Aziraphael (from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchetts's book Good Omen, if you don't know what I'm talking about). Hopefully another one will not pop up to soon. *will not think of roman baths! will not think of roman ( Read more... )

That is really freakin' cool! :D I love it to itty bitty bits. Everything from their expressions, to Crowley's hand, to Aziraphale's Union Jack shoes. I can definitely work with this. I just hope you don't mind waiting so long for me to get to that chapter. If I can keep up the pace I'm writing at now, I might be able to manage a chapter a week, in which case I can probably get to this point in six months or so. Thank you for doing this. It has given me lots of ideas!

I'm so glad you like it and that you think you can make something of it. Personally I'm rather in love with the shoes (slippers actually for some odd reason). I know it is a while of and definitely don't mind waiting. Will be looking forwards to read the rest of the chapters

I love Zira's wings, and the whole thing for that matter.

My favorite part is that Aziraphale is a medic...how perfectly angelic of him. Judging from his expression, I don't think this particular war was his side's doing. Very cute.

Angelic, funny you should say that ;) And no, I don't think that it was his side's doing

Heh, well, judging from the portrayal of heaven in the book, it wouldn't actually be so far fetched...but I can't see Aziraphale approving.

No, I guess the imminent risk of the final battle, discourage people from seeing heaven as all that antiwar. But considering that Aziraphael, hm hm, accidentally lost his flaming sword... medic seemed more fitting.

I like how Crowley is so dark -- my dad said he thought he'd gotten a tan while he was in Vietnam, but then he took a loonngg shower when he got back and the "tan" had mostly been dirt and funk. ;x

Glad you like it :) Well, unless it rained, I guess your chance of getting a shower wasn't that big
