No, that was intentional. I've noticed that in Star Trek they call the women Mister too, some sort of attempt at gender equality, I guess... It's used in Balance of Terror, the guy & the girl who were gonna get married at the beginning use it on each other, and in WoK Kirk calls Saavik Mister. There's probably other times as well...
