Lilith Lore has a myspace. Why shouldn't she, really? It's not a site I personally favor, but plenty of people still use it, and exposure is good. So when this Richmond-based guy with a bunch of half-naked girls on his "top friends" list sent a friend request to Lilith... I thought, Sure, why not? Don't respond, I say. You have no obligation to people who are fans, especially when they act in appropriately. If his first message is over the top creepy, I think it can just get work.

When I get emails like that because of my sex blog or my erotica, I generally choose not to respond.

Fans should be people whom you can have a respectful dialogue with (I'd hope to fit into that category with you) or in some cases are lucky enough to turn into irl friends (in the case of an irl friend who read my erotica and with whom I just clicked when we ended up at the same event).

I'd let him know that this is your "professional site" to promote your business and your performing, rather than just a social site. Then thank him for his interest. That gives him the opportunity to behave appropriately.

Just a thought. Or you could have your boyfriend give him a swirly, as a warning. >;-)
