Did I mention a few months ago that I got a Macbook Pro? It's a fantastic little machine and it's going to make me dangerous with many mindless posts! Including what I have to tell you today

NYC *so* has DC beat in terms of random celebrity encounters. The best we can usually do is politicians and pundits (Madeleine Albright was sitting in my office building lobby the other day; I saw George Stephanopolous playing with his kids in a park and thought: "Oh, look! Stephanopouli").
I do get an ounce of indy cred, though: Bob Mould of Husker Du fame lives less than a block away from me, and I see him on the street all the time. That's about the best I can do. I think I would trade that for Famke Janssen though ;)

I really like encountering people that I generally see on television and on film... not in a trashy/tabloid way, but in a 'wow, I admire what you do and here you are for real, rather than in 2-D.' It's also not so much random as it is our neighborhood is just a very odd mix of classes, culture, etc... Hi Christine! I can finish comment here!! hehe. Yeah! Around this tie last year, I was interning for you. It was a great summer! I can't wait to read Breaking Up!! =)
Thank you for posting! It was awesome to see you at MoCCA, your mini-comic was so beautiful, almost as lovely as you. Last summer was a good time, but this summer will be even better. When we get the proof for BREAKING UP, I will call you and you should come to the new office (still such a mess) to read it and we will go out for sumo ramen!
