You remembered!

So, I'm sitting in a Starbuck's awaiting entry into my new office http://www.kuramotonorrie.com and have exhausted all the tedious work I have on my laptop. Twenty minutes was spent tweaking the new company profile for my Quickbooks accounting... BO-RING! Emailed my editor w/ the ( Read more... )

I thought it was so funny that you were afraid people had forgotten about you...and next thing you know, you're sold out of books! Serves you right.

Anyway, thanks again so much for your "hospitality". It was a great weekend, and great catching up! Good luck with the new office, and just let me know when you're ready to talk about that thing, you know...

Well, you never know how people will react! I've had nothing in print for over two years... Plus, it never occurred to me that I might generate NEW readers. I came from a period of comics where new business was bleak and it's fantastic to see that is not the case!

It was great hanging with you and I'll check in with you soon. :)

Wish I could have snuck in to say hello! I was in HK (again) and couldn't make it this year. Bummer. :(

Glad to hear things are going well! <3

I wish you could have snuck in too-- we miss you! (Happy 1st Anniversary, BTW!)

I'm going to finish up the book either tonight or tomorrow; so let's get some drinks soon, lady!

I've always felt funny bringing in books for signing, partly because i don't have receipts with me, so i wonder if retailers are eying me suspiciously, but also i feel weird about approaching people with tables full of books to sell, and instead of buying something, pulling something out of a bag.

Well, as far as I am concerned, you needn't worry ever about bringing your own books to sign. No retailer is eyeing you suspiciously and I don't think anyone feels like you should buy extra copies of something you all ready own! I think readers who bring their copies is a very cool thing-- it's proof that there are actual sales! It's proof that you cared enough to lug that comic from home to be signed! Besides, I often have little items for sale that you can't get anywhere... like, I made magnets of the piece of art ("Waiting") from the homepage of spookoo.com ( ... )

I had a funny idea about going to a comics convention, and lining up to get story sketches from writers. Well, maybe not so funny.

To get a free egg, you have to go to the chicken, but, oh, the squawking.
