Iris pigmentation is known to change regularly. It's possible it has always been there but hidden by the brown, or could even recently have appeared. Glad it's a good omen, though.
BTW, the new Burnout kicks serious booty. Makes me think of all that time we spent playing 2 (they even brought back some of the old cars, soundtrack songs, and boost methods from each of the old games).
