Happy Amerigo Vespucci Day! (Columbus did NOT discover America!) I just had a strange idea: Christopher Columbus, the director of the first two Harry Potter movies, should be honored today, seeing as it is COLUMBUS Day! We should all invade his house! :D I also came up with some fake Wizard Dictionary definitions:
Mexican Magic: (n) when a director of a Harry Potter movie takes a Cuaron-esque idea and brings it to the movie, thus making it more angsty/humorous/dark/awesome/Mexican/well-recieved. Used by Alfonso Cuaron in Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, and hopefully in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Example: I hope David Yates brings some Mexican Magic into the HBP movie!
Perfecto Directo: (n) a spell created by Hayley Potter, used to summon good directors to film Harry Potter movies. Directors summoned include Alfonso Cuaron and David Yates. The opposite spell, Disgusto Directo, summons Christopher Columbus and Mike Newell to direct HP.
Example: Perfecto Directo! shouted the WB people, and with a pop, two very good directors appeared.
To make the day a bit more special, I'm also starting a discussion in Spoil_me_DH about why GoF was such a sucky movie! :D Happy Columbus Day!
