Ohh that looks so yummy! When I was a kid my mum used to make a cake similar-ish to cheese cake. It had a spongy base (often shop bought I have to say) and a top/filling made with quark and fruit - mandarins were my favourite! I've never had a mandarin cheesecake. I think I prefer one with berries, though. I love mandarin oranges but fresh off the tree and not from a tin. ;) It's very pretty to look at though!
The recipe is very adaptable - the base is just biscuit, the cheese is cream cheese, cream, sugar, real vanilla (hence the little black dots) and orange zest, and the topping pieces of fruit.
