THANK YOU for posting this. Some of the arguments in the comments are so infuriating.

The TrekMovie Twitter feed points out that older male fans seemed to dislike Spock/Uhura the most. And I get the sense that they would prefer that Uhura just shut up and look pretty, rather than be part of a relationship that portrays both herself and Spock as being interesting and complex.

The ship seems to have a fair amount of opposition from slash fans. But I guess we already knew that.

Would you consider locking this AND using an url redirect to link?

I'd dislike it if the people who hate S/U would trackback to the comm.
