Thank you, this has been very informative.

I had been studying up on Vulcan's and Spock's telepathic abilities and remember reading that Spock does have the ability to render some control over a person's will.

Is there any place that you would suggest to look for more in depth information on Mr. Spock's origins and abilities?

68 F to 72 F is considered to be balmy in these parts. People who complain about that being cold when it's only 60 should come up here for the winter.

LOL! I have my own issues (Spock speaking in contractions is like nails on a chalkboard) but I totally missed the mind melts one!

Now when people forget that he has green blood and his heart is located where our livers are, that's when I have to step away from the computer.

Sorry if I seem like I need to take a chill pill or something, but the start of your post seems a little condescending.

Not that the post isn't useful, but the tone of the introduction just seems off and makes me raise my eyebrow a little.

I concur with this observation. I suppose it's useful, but it seems to me that it would be a better idea to comment on an actual mis-use of a term, or a blatant getting-something-horribly-wrong. People aren't always going to follow every little bit of canon, and a couple of those things seem downright preachy to worry about in the grand scheme of things.

Does it? Terribly sorry-been a fan since I was 10 (am 32 now) so I have had some experience with snail mail and nerdy conferences where we would all talk this to death and then dress up as Klingon and do karaoke. It does not seem preachy to me- are you angry about something specific I said?

I saw this post in the ST Reboot com and here, any reason it didn't show up in any of the other Star Trek coms on my friend's list?
