He really is a sweetheart. I saw him speak once at a convention in Denver-- very down-to-earth, not at all puffed up. It was right after "Voyage Home" and he was absolutely thrilled with his whales. Most of his talk was about how they got those whale models to work. He's so cute!

Get it at a used store. Right after the movie, I got my copy at one of my local used bookstores for 6 or 7 bucks. They had a couple of copies in really good condition.
