This was really nice. I don't often see conflict in their relationship in other fics. This seemed realistic to me. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you for your words. Since this is a Spock who is still working on that balance I thought jealousy would be the perfect emotion to go for since his girlfriend is hot and he still struggles to understand what she sees in him. Plus I wanted Kirk to start a brawl : )

LOL, That's how they roll. I kept giggling over the guys getting into a bar brawl, especially with Scotty asking no questions and jumping into the fray. It was sweet that Gaila gave Spock advice and for some reason this "“Has your anger dissipated?” he asked, bringing her face close to his again."
reminded me that Spock is a little behind all the other clueless men when it comes to women and our emotions/reactions :D Real Fun read.

I figured jumping in no questions asked is so Scotty. And I am having a lot of fun writing Gaila because she, as well as Kirk, is such a contrast to Spock and Uhura. So she is always there with this advice and usually turns out to be right whether they are listening or not. Spock was listening.

First off, I totally agree. Unless JJ tells us otherwise, Gaila was one of the survivors on the Farragut and is now serving on the Enterprise. Because she rocks.

I'm glad you like it...it was great fun to write.

I didnt think they mentioned in the film what ship she ended up on but surely there were survivors on ships that were attacked. Her character is far too interesting to explore not to end up in sequels.
