I liked it a lot and as for S/U, the film was a huge importune compared to STID.

Please post your thought and evaluation on the film , spock, uhura and S/U

WOW...What a sorry, pathetic and laughable excuse of a post you have there. I see the tears are still flowing for the K/S fan girls after star trek beyond so you have to stalk an S/U forum? that is the pathetic part.
Is this the best the K/S fans can come up with? LMAO again at slash fan girls LIKE YOU. Last I checked kirk and spock are not a couple and will never be and nothing is been downplayed. what was downplayed was the K/S dynamic after how embarrassing they were in star trek into darkness with the rehashing of khan.

Most S/U fans are happy about the film and the fan base has been uplifted again. even other sensible K/S fans on Tumblr have admitted what was obvious. Spock wants to be with Uhura are no one else. HOW is that been downplayed? LOL, most K/S fan girls are the same people that will say two guys are a couple because of a simple handshake but they can not understand or sense S/U got back together when Star Trek memory alpha have already said they did

I loved the Spock/Uhura in the movie. They get less screentime but what we get is poignant and sweet. They're together since 6 years now and they have a very mature relationship.  Makes me want to see more and to see them happy

Sure, there were problems, but overall I really enjoyed it. The S/U dynamic especially, of course, particularly that "rescue." But the Bones/Spock friendship too. I got all teary-eyed when Spock saw the picture of the TOS crew.

Funny, I always know when a new film has come out when I get all the hits on my old fic :-) Time to get it together and start writing some more.
