Fic to loose yourself in

Evening all,

As tomorrow is the first day of winter here down under, I'm looking for some good long fic that I can curl up in front of the fire and loose myself in.

Not too fussed what it's about or pairings (except no wincest please) just something that will drag me along for the ride, be that adventure, romance or mystery. Nothing too angesty

Hum, I'd say you'll be fine for a while with The Doors of Time:
It’s not like he doesn’t try to fit in and make friends, he really does. It just seems like nothing he does is good enough for them. If he smiles they blink. If he speaks they stare. And whenever they see him coming they get this panicked look in their eyes like they want to run away and they don’t even know why.
Jensen knows why. It’s the same thing that makes his dad worry and his mom cry. That makes Nana tell his parents he’s going to Hell, not even caring that he can hear her. It’s what makes him ‘weird’.

Such a wonderfully written AU, unbelievably sad and scary and beautiful. I LOVE this. Makes you cry and wish and PINE for such love. It's really long, and absolutely drown-in-worthy. A bit angsty, especially the first part. But.. I'd say it's worth it!

Shiny, these look lovely.

I do tend to shy away from J2 as in my head it gets a little too close to AU wincest for comfort. But I do read the odd one when recced so well, therefore I shan't be ignoring it.

Thanks, I've been keeping my eye on both these comms. Would there be anything in particular that you would rec from these that I might have missed or wasn't from one of the above fandoms? I tend to skip over fandoms I'm not familiar with.

well this is angsty but it is such an amazing fic that i have to rec it!!!!!!!!!!!
it is dean/castiel and nearly 90 chapters so far..............
it gets updated every 2-3 days and has amazing plot and characterization..............
