Specific fic + minor character

Hey, I'm looking for two fics.

The first is a specific fic. It was a set during or after 'In My Time of Dying', and I think it was from Sam's POV. I remember a certain line - "if you had two Winchesters, one of them had to be Dean or you'd have a fight on your hands". Or something to that effect anyway

The Knuckles of Skinnybone Tree by hansbekhart. Michael plays only a small part in it, though.

and Lessons Learned by lyra_wing. Michael is 18, he meets Lucas, and together they go looking for the Winchester brothers.
