*waves* Hi everyone. I'm a bit of a lurker, and have never posted here before, but now I come asking for help. I'm having surgery on my knee in two days, so I'll be out of commission for awhile, and probably unable to sit comfortably enough to be on the computer for a few days. Are you looking for J2 AUs or non-AUs? There's a couple of J2 AU challenge lists that I can dig up for you.

First off I'd recommend anything by belyste here - I think they're all over 25k words. There's also Confidence by doodle-writes which is about 100k (and seriously, if you want a happy ending, don't read the epilogue).

There's also a truly stupendous list of J2 AUs at abouttwoboys, reel_spn, and sarcasticdaisy's journal. Some of them have word counts and some of them don't, unfortunately.

I LOVE the quiet!verse
It is a WIP, but it's already on part 43 but it's so well written that I could probably read it over and over. It's a J2 AU where Jared is in high school, and loves the piano, and Jensen is a few years older, but he's deaf and not really going anywhere with his life. I'm not a big fan of WIP's either, because I can hardly keep track of them, and remember to check regularly but this one is so worth it. So sweet it'll probably give you cavities, with just a bit of angst. Okay...I'll stop singing its praises now...

Oh, I love the quiet!verse too! The writing style reminds me of Francesca Lia Block, one of my favorite authors.

I recommend anything by keepaofthecheez. I love all her fics, and if you want something long to read, her new!otp verse, about Jensen and Jared hooking up before Supernatural.
