I have this recollection of a fic I read once about Bobby and Dean, where Dean asked Bobby who was his favorite between him and Sam. It was from Bobby's POV, and I think Bobby was thinking to himself that Dean was his favorite, but he didn't think it would be good for Dean if he told him that. So he lied and told him that Sam was his favorite. And
