1. fics focused on Sam's visions.
2. anything where the boys have been raised apart.
3. post-apocalyptic fics

Semper Familia 'verse by KatZen fits #1 and #2:

Psychic Sam:

Masquerading as a Man of Reason by kellifer_fic: When Sam's powers appear to be getting out of control, Dean asks for help.

Unbroken by sodakey: They don't have time for headaches. With having died and pending hell, headaches should be nothing. Set sometime after Dean sells his soul for Sam. One shot.

Apocalypse fics:

A Gift for Demeter (a self rec): In which Dean was not killed by Lucifer in the showdown of 2014. In which Dean got his hands on an archangel blade. In which Lucifer is dead and Sam is, miraculously, still living. In which Sam tries his best to grow plants in the dried-up earth.

I think most people have read Semper Familia but it was worth reccing anyway :) Also, I haven't actually read 'unbroken' but I thought it was about visions but it might just be about migraines.

Raised apart:

The Boy Who Walked on Stilts by kellifer-fic. In a world where John Winchester has given his life early for the hunt, his sons are raised separately. One by a holy man and one by a hunter.

The Brotherhood 'verse by clowns_or_midgets. Separated from his brother at age sixteen, Dean makes a new life for himself. When finally reunited with Sam, he finds they're living in different worlds.

Apocalypse fic:

Aftertaste by foolscapper. It’s sad, Sam thinks. It’s sad that Dean cares about but hates this person, this guy that Sam will probably never remember.

And this Great Blue World of Ours by vailkagami. A man wakes up in a ruined wasteland, without memories, without a name, without knowing the strange guy who claims to once have been an angel, or that he once had a little brother. All he knows is

I'm not usually a slash fan, but El Dorado is a magnificent Sam/Dean raised apart fic.

Also, kroki_refur's LJ is unlocked again \o/ which means you can read But for the Grace, which is... kind of a raised apart story. You'll like it. Trust me.
