Hi, I’m
ariadnes_string, your other guest recc’er for the month. And what better way to introduce myself than with a few recs for some of my less presentable favorite kinks?
(all these fics come with warnings-please read them carefully)
2 Dean/Cas
Except Thou Bless Me by
architeuthisRating: NC-17.
Author’s summary: Castiel is wroth, and Dean is having a great time.
Author’s warnings: !) Wangst. Language. Violence. Consensual power exchange. Moderate-core S&M, including light CBT and brief, incidental breath play. References to actual torture; references to past threats of rape. Schmoopy aftercare. In roughly that order.
This fic is rec’d often-and with good reason. There’s no exquisite, controlled “play” here-this is fast, sloppy, and driven by pure need. And blindingly hot. The fic is intense, visceral, and perfectly, organically in character for mid-S4 Dean. When 5.18 aired, of course, it seemed to have risen to the level of canon. Come for the brutal beat-down-stay for the gorgeous aftercare.
Set Down Your Tools, by
entangled_now at
libraryofsol Rating: R.
Author’s summary: The dream always starts the same way.
Author’s warnings: Knifeplay, bloodplay.
Again, this fic is all about need-and uses knifeplay to explore not just the dynamics of Dean and Cas’s relationship, but also its complicated history. Castiel is powerful and otherworldly here-and the writing, as always from this author, is gorgeous.
One Sam/Dean
Vagabondage by
rivkatAuthor’s summary: A transient life means that sometimes improvisation is called for.
Author’s warnings: Explicit. Ropes, as the title implies, and mention of breathplay and gunplay.
Rating: Explicit (NC-17)
n/b: this fic also has some Dean/OMC action.
I would say that the kink here is trust. The fic is funny and sexy and perfectly in character, but what’s most compelling (and touching) about it is that it gives us a Dean who is sexually cautious in some ways, and a Sam who finds a way to give him what he needs.
And one Gen. Because on SPN, bloodplay is sometimes canon.
Wasted Blood by
mikes_grrlAuthor’s summary: Cas needs help, but not from Dean.
Author’s rating: NC-17 (for disturbing themes).
Author’s warnings: Spoilers for 5.18; bloodplay, but no sex.
There were some great fics speculating about Castiel’s sigil in 5.18-this is probably my favorite. It does a great job, in a brief space, of exploring the dynamics of Team Free Will at this crucial turning point in S5.
Enjoy!
