One moment, she’s nine and sitting on the floor of the living room in her childhood home, playing Barbies with her little sister.
In the next, she’s in agony, pulled out of Heaven--yanked out--and she’s writhing and screaming as she falls down, down to earth. The world explodes in white-hot pain as she hits the ground. She remembers being thrown out of a seventh-floor window and the thought crosses her mind that that didn’t nearly hurt as much as this does.
She’s staring up at the sky, stars twinkling down at her and she screams.
She screams her pain and anguish at being ripped down from Paradise and dragged back down to earth, to misery, to the grief of suddenly knowing that Amy, her darling baby sister, is dead. She’d slit her own wrists, killed herself, after seeing her only sister’s broken body lying still on the cold metal table at the morgue ( ... )
