SAM : Look, whatever stupid thing you're about to do, you're not doing it alone. And that's that.

Sam feels the venom seeping through his skin. He's annoyed that he wasn't fast enough to avoid the Djinn's hand. He'd been so preoccupied with fighting the first one off that he hadn't noticed her sibling sneaking up behind him.
The Djinn's fingers tighten one last time and then release. Sam's vision blurs.
There is a light. It gets brighter and brighter. Sam tries to close his eyes but they're already closed. He tries to turn over, presses his face into the cement floor of the basement, but the light shines through the cracks in the floor and the cracks are getting wider.
Sam's eyes are forced open and he sees himself but he's made of light. He burns, he burns and it's brighter than fire, brighter than the sun and Sam doesn't want to see but he can't stop staring.

I think soulless!Sam has quite a few stories left to tell.

They hurt they burn they bite they blister and boil every minute of every day.
Sometimes he can focus. Sometimes he can think about something so hard, so completely, that the Cage falls away for a few precious minutes.
The memories aren't the worst part.
He remembers everything he's done-- everyone he killed with no hesitation, with no remorse.
Sometimes he tries to forgive himself, but he can't. Sometimes he lets the Cage take him again so he can feel the fire and the teeth and the ice run through him. It hurts, but the pain is better than the guilt.

He remembers a lot of things. He remembers too much for one mind to hold.
Sometimes he can't see anything but his memories. Sometimes he can't see where he is and he can't focus anymore, and then he doesn't know where he is because surely he can't be here. He can't be free. He shouldn't be free, because if he's free, then He's free and that can't happen.
The memories aren't the worst part.
