What's meme working on? anonymous September 28 2012, 20:11:11 UTC
I know we have a few RBB nonnnies here so good luck to all of you. But what else is everyone working on? Any approaching deadlines looming?

Personally, I'm writing a pre-series Wee/Wincest fic and getting very upset that canon is not cooperating with me.

(How did they not know that Halloween 2005 was on a Monday?)

Um, what time is it right now BST? I tried googling it and came up with mixed responses. I assume it'll be the middle of the night for me when assignments go out either way but I'm excited (and nervous).

Thanks, nonnie. So... it'll be around 2am for me, but I guess she said assignments will take a few hours to go out so I probably shouldn't wait up or set my alarm. /probably will anyway because sdkfljds

It's just after midnight UTC, so, one AM? That seems wrong. Summer time gives me hives.

I'm the nonnie from the previous post who wanted to work on a Sam wearing panties art. I'm far too busy with the RBB right now to even think about it before at least 2 weeks. I just wrote some ideas here and there in my sketchbook for later. The advice from the memers were helpful. (Thank you guys)

I'm working on my RBB, I'm line-arting (BOOOOOOORING). I can't wait to start coloring.

I'm looking forward to receive my J2 Xmas exchange assignment and to post my kamikaze remix art ♥

I have such a nice author for rbb, I hope to get an extra piece done for her, even if I'm not the greatest artist.

I'm writing a fic for another fandom, and I just had an incredible break-through plot-wise. Sadly, only in my head. However, the problem I solved was the main cause of my writer's block, so I hope that I'll go back to writing tonight. I feel like a complete asshole for already uploading a chapter a while ago. It was going so good and I thought that would give me some extra motivation. NOPE. Instead, I realised how absolutely dumb and contrived the plot was (it involved a guy's "ghost" walking around and sending texts when he's unconscious). And my plots are ALWAYS contrived, and I just wanted this time to be different.

I like ghosts. (why is "ghost" put in quotations? Is it not the traditional sort of ghost? Is it his subconscious spirit of himself or something?)

Well, he isn't dead yet, so I wasn't sure if ghost was the right word. It's a "projection" of himself.

The thing is, while the series generally does have supernatural elements, this character is the one who is not involved in the supernatural aspects. Not to mention that the supernatural stuff is tied to objects that don't appear in my fic. So it would come out of nowhere and I wouldn't have any logical explanation for it. Also I flip-flopped between him being aware of the fact that this happens and not. If he is aware, then the story would end much sooner. If he isn't, it could go on forever. So yeah, bad idea.

yaaaay astral projections!

Huh. So this is the Normal Guy in the land of supernatural filled things, but not quite? And the projection is interfering in Norman's (can we call him that?) life, couldn't it just catch up to him that way? Or is it forging it's own persona off of Norman's stuff? Surely someone would mention Norman sending texts that he didn't do or he'd notice his stuff messed with and be alerted to something fishy afoot, right?

Well, poor Norman is tied up in a basement, that's why it all starts. Norman's not-quite-friend keeps seeing the projection and interacts with it, but slowly realises that something is off. He puts the clues he got in the text messages together and cue epic rescue mission.

But here's the thing: Why are there "clues" in the text messages. Why doesn't he just say, "Hey, I'm tied up in a basement, call the cops maybe?" And I can't just leave out the messages because they are basically what makes the other guy suspicious.
