I loved this-- this Jess with her quirks and habits, and Sam with his routines and the details he notices about Jess and how they have a rhythm to their relationships. I liked the little details you included, like poptarts and Jess's hello Kitty shirt. I like how comfortably they fit together, and then how it all seems so fragile when they begin talking about family. This is so beautiful and SAD, when you think about the future... and thank you so much for writing it.

Also, shower!sex, guh-- I've actually been wanting Sam/Jess porn like this so yay, thank you so much for that, as well as the emotional porn. ;)

Good, solid story. The Sam characterization is practically note-perfect, and I love the way you've made the two of them into a settled pair. As was said up thread - Sam was living his life, and making plans, and those plans included Jess.

Lovely writing, well polished. One of the better ones of this ficathon.

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you! There's always that bit of bittersweetness about Sam and Jess, knowing how it ends, but for a while, they were just a normal couple, settled and happy and planning for the future.

This made me want to be in college again! So nostaglic! You perfectly captured that lazy-day, mildly hung-over, chillin' feeling that was so central to so many college weekends. It was a lovely look into Sam and Jess, very realistic, very on-the-cusp of something deeper between them.
