One of the rules of spn_summergen is fics must be beta-read. There are lots of places you can find a beta: spn_betas is a great community, and a request for help from your friends list is also a good place to start.

But just in case an alternative is needed, this post will collect details for anyone who wants to volunteer as a beta for spn_summergen stories.

What kind of help can you offer? Grammar/spelling/English for any type of fic. Structure/plot for plot-oriented stories. I'm a Brit so though I can usually spot the obvious Britishisms I'm not the best beta for that.
What characters/genres do you prefer? Characters: John, Sam, any female characters, Bobby. I am so not a Dean girl :-). Genres: I do best with dark, angsty or at least serious stories. Humour isn't my thing.
Any restrictions: Um...nothing in the present tense. It's a pet peeve of mine. No angels.

What characters/genres do you prefer? I'm pretty much a Dean!girl, but for betaing have no preference, I'm fine with whatever you throw at me.
Any restrictions: No graphic slash, but non-graphic is fine. Other than that, I'm good with whatever.
