This was so good!! Like others have said, an origin myth for supernatural. I loved the loopiness of it, circling round things that were familiar and in their appearance both helped the story make sense and were given new meaning by the context you gave them. Sam's heart dropping at the loss of the sunset was so affecting to me?? Idk just so powerful. And I loved how recognisable your God was, the same irritating self satisfied faux benevolence, spot on

It makes me happy that you enjoyed this. <333 Funnily, the whole fic was premised on this image I had of Sam contemplating the idea of Falling on purpose (or driving the Impala down to Earth, or whatever), and then realizing he might miss his wings--but only because now he'd seen birds, and had liked them on the bird. WHICH I THEN COMPLETELY FORGOT TO PUT IN THE FIC. OH WELL.
