This was great! Mary's conflicted emotions, father-daughter and mother-daughter relationships portrayed really nicely. I loved Mary's "biggest, most unrepentant grin" -- she bequeathed that to Dean -- and her "I'm melting!" in the car. Thanks very much!

Thank you! I'm glad the relationships came across believably. And the "I'm melting" line, I've always wanted to write that somewhere, thankful the Wizard of Oz had been released by 67 :D

This was really wonderful. Especially Mary's musings on maps. :) But also Mary's courage and compassion and the awful kick of the last few lines. Really nicely done.

Thanks! Oh, the maps, I love the maps, I don't even know why they are there, but they are. (also your icon is awesome) <3

A great example of "be careful what you wish for". This is a terrific character study of Mary.

Thank you! And yes, it definitely is a case of being careful about what you think you want. I'm glad Mary came across well :)

Really nice lead in to why Mary might want out of the life. The wish to make a father proud whether you like the life or not seems to have been passed on to Dean also. Nicely done.

Yeah, Mary was definitely Daddy's girl and I think both she and Dean really wanted to make their dad's proud. I'm glad it felt like a good setup for her eventual dissatisfaction with hunting. Thank you!

Oh, yeah, I can see this. She wanted it, she got it - and everything that goes with it. Good job! You caught her frustration and then her fear believably.

Thank you! I'm glad she came across well; my first time writing her so I was a little worried. :)
