Aw, mastiffs are too ugly. With that pointy nose, he's gotta be a greyhound. Sometimes he's compared to a fox and I totally see that, what with the nose and those smexxy slanted eyes. Rowr.

I once saw an absolutely gorgeous bull mastiff. It was one of those scenes that will always stick in my head. Across the street from where I work there is this gym frequented by bodybuilders. Ages ago we had corporate memberships there so I used to go (we switched gyms a year later or so)- anyway this one night as I'm leaving there's this dude- 6'5, obviously really built and he has his pet bull mastiff with him. The dog had this great brown & white-speckled coloring-- beautiful coat. Anyway, it stood up on its hind legs and put one paw on either side of the guy's shoulders and it was just this amazing image.
Really wish I had a photo of it.
Anyway- since then I've been very fond of mastiffs. Though honestly-- the idea of keeping one as a pet in the city seems wrong somehow (imagine the size of the poop- ack!)

I'm glad it made you smile! I started with a different prompt but it just got too leggy for a newb writer. I still think it'll make a faboo gen!fic someday so who knows? You may get two prompts filled, eventually. :D

Wonderful! I can't wait to see what happens. Must admit, the drawing of the hot dog threw me so I thought this was written by someone else, but you did a great job.

I couldn't resist the hot dog, since cooking out/charcoal was mentioned umpteen times in the story...it was my unofficial theme, I think. SummerGen should be summery, yeah? And nuthin' says summer like grillin' hot dogs.

Nor did I want the style to be distinctively MINE, since this was supposed to be anonymous. I can't help wondering if it was a good thing or a bad thing that you thought it was written by someone else! ;)
