Hey, good timing :)

I'm in need of a beta.

... I don't really think I can use an lj cut in a comment, so I'll just say this - wordcout ~14,000

Mod - any other details I can give without giving away something I'm not supposed to?

You can give vague details about the story: genre, characters and similar. Just don't give a summary.

Ok then.
Genre - angst.
Characters - Sam and Dean.
Setting - somewhere in mid-season 2.
Length - about 14K
Type of beta needed - mostly grammar.

If the primary genre is : gen : then I'll take a look for grammar/mechanics if you want. If it is either : slash or het : I'll take a pass.

So I'm not really close to done (but I do have an outline worked out), but I have no idea where I should get a beta otherwise, so I'm already putting my little "help" sign up here ^^

characters: mainly Sam and Dean with a bit of Bobby thrown in
Setting: Season 6
Genre, uhm crack-angst-schoomp? think mystery spot
type of beta: grammar is nice, but mostly style and consistency (I'm a nervous first-timer and I want my gift to not suck^^)

I would love for someone to be come forward, but I will probably take at least another week before I can send something over

I'd love to read it for you! I haven't beta'd much before but I'm an English Lit major so it's definitely my sort of thing... plus I've got quite a lot of free time right now. I'll pm you with my email address =]

I am in need as well. I don't exactly have a prospective word count yet (expect fic in a week or so). Genre is AU, sort of (more info would be spoilers, sorry). Major character focus on Sam and Dean, peopled with background canon/original characters as necessary. I am good at grammar and dialogue, but I would appreciate help on exposition, explanation, description, etc. I'd be willing to trade stories for betaing. Drop me a line if you're interested!

I'm quite far away from being done with the story but I'm definitely going to need a beta. Genre: action/angst, Sam-centered. English isn't my native language, so above regular things I'll mostly need help with sounding natural.

I'm working on mine, it's a Sam and Dean focused casefic. I'd like someone to read through and let me know about any embarrassing spelling mistakes or anything, but I'd also like some input now into some style and formatting issues.

Not a long fic, not a big job, just need a sounding board.
