(((you))) We knew there would be a big response to this... a lot of people had guessed Cas might be the False Prophet but no one had seen the clues that pointed to Dean also being able to fit the gig. it was very naughty of us!
We hope that what we have coming up will put you back together again! Keep the faith!
I hope you've recovered by now and there's more to come! Which is a curse or a blessing depending on whether you're cried out or not :S We really appreciate you reading our words.
Hey babe! It's funny but when I posted the link on Tumblr there was brief celebration, and then a few huh?s and then some OMG!!! Noooooo!s and then just dead silence, for well over a half-hour. I think people were genuinely shellshocked.
Man, we're really proud of the writing in this. Even reading it back myself (including the episodes yet to post) I can't quite comprehend how we did it. It's like we were possessed: the words just flowed.
Thank you so much for cheering us on, it really means a lot. :D You're one of the first fan fic writers I read when I was lurking in the fandom and it's really great to be able to interact with you, here or on tumblr, even from afar, and just, I'm so grateful anyone thinks well of something I helped write. Your stuff is amazing!
Seriously? SERIOUSLY? This is more evil than all the evil the most evil SPN writers have ever done! You just had to tear them apart, had to tear US apart, didn't you? And you had to write the goodbye scenes so wonderfully, had to dig out the most precious memory of watching E.T. together with my sister and press there because you knew it would hurt! As if that wasn't enough, you had to end it on a cruel cliffhanger. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
No, really, THANK YOU! This was an amazing chapter, you know SPN fans and especially Destiel fans are masochists so I really enjoyed the pain reading this brought me.
And sorry for so many caps. You're just lucky I didn't comment immediately after I read the chapter :)
Hey bb! Yep, we did that. I think we horrified the readers, because while soe of them had guessed Cas was the False Prophet no one had even conceived of the twist we had in here. LOL you should have seen the reaction on Tumblr!
Thank you for reading! The goodbye scenes, those were something else. We had a vague outline but Zat and I never really discussed too many hard details, and it's a challenge to strike a balance on those goodbyes, to write something that doesn't sound, IDK, cliched, I guess? Trite? And it was awesome to write something and have Zat know exactly what to write into it to make bittersweet and heartbreaking, and weave together the different things we put together . . .
This installment is so cruel in its perfection I can’t quite process it. It’s a great example of a couple of sadistic, illegally talented writers taking advantage of a bunch of masochist readers. Seriously, I can’t believe my eyes went watery reading this.
The dynamic between Dean, Sam and Castiel was as impressive as always, but this time it also was exponentially more painful. It hurt so damn much to read this, but at the same time it was a pleasure, because the writing in this is beautiful and lyrical. It’s like the prose poetry that tears your heart apart I love so much. Everything was palpable, and vivid, and nothing was exaggerated, or out of place, or disturbing, not if you have in mind the context, the oppressiveness of that moment, and all that has led to it, instead of only a few single lines

There is a pristine cruelty in it, isn't there? It's like we surgically removed all of your feels. We were sorta rubbing our hands together in glee about posting this because altho a few readers had figured out Cas was the False Prophet this twist came right out of the blue. But all the clues are in there, and I think if people ever go back and re-read it from start to finish they'll spot them.
I think you’ve done a better job exploring and depicting the relationship between Sam and Dean than the show usually does. That means a lot because initially when we started writing this we were criticized as being a "Sam-hating project" and there was a lot of ludicrous trolling about how we were going to write Sam out of this as an important player. And of course even if this is at heart a D/C project, that was never our intention and though I didn'

Thanks for reading, for sticking with us through so much of it! I think Zat probably summed it up better than me, but it's been a trip writing with her and we really flowed well, we bounced ideas like crazy and hit the ground running; a lot of people seem to comment on the Sam - Dean - Castiel dynamic that's been set up here, and I think it might have something to do with how much we love the Team Free Will component that emerged in S5 -- I think we see them as a complete unit, rather than something just there to fill up a space.

All the awards, you two. All the awards.
The Dean/Cas is devastating, the Sam and Dean completely undid me, Sam and Cas completely undid me, all three of them are magnificent.
I just. WHAT DID YOU DOOOOO. *wails*
