I've gotten pretty far behind on my reading, though I'm endeavoring to catch up. I sneak peaks at the art, though, and oh these are gorgeous! The two pieces with Dean and Cas looking through the white "curtain" are exquisite. (I even like the last sketch piece; it's roughness adds a lovely undercurrent to the emotions present in the pose.)
I can't blame you, I am a bit late when it comes to RR chapters myself but I am sure of one thing: this episode is great, I'm sure you are gonna enjoy it :D I can understand this art can be a bit surprising when you don't know what it is all about because Dean as a prince is non very common :D
The one with Dean with a hole in his chest is just a draft. It's Nyoka who insisted to post it. I was a bit surprised because for me it was just a rough draft xD
OMG… OMG…I’ve been looking at this for the last five minutes trying to come out with something coherent to write, but I can’t. I had been told the art for this episode was exquisite but these pictures are beyond what I imagined, they’re astonishing.
I loved the pictures of Dean and Cas peering through the curtains, very original and you captured their expressions so vividly. I also love the banner, and the one of Cas giving his heart back to prince!Dean, they’re breathtaking, I mean the details, the wintry colors, everything is perfect; and finally Dean with a hole where his heart should be … oh my *faints*
Thank you so much for your kind words about my RR art ♥
I had a lot of pleasure working on the lighting of the first one! I wanted the heart in Castiel's hand to be the main light source of the image like a kind of sacred heart surrounded by flames. The colors were a bit new to me too, it's a palette I don't use a lot.

I was trying a new kind of coloring for the curtain ones. Something very flat and minimal. It works pretty fine with pieces where there aren't a lot of details like portraits. It wouldn't have worked so well on the main image where Cas' holds Dean's heart so I kept this technique for the "curtain" art :)
I'm at a loss for words. These are completely beautiful. I'm haven't caught up with the chapters but, my goodness I can't wait to catch up and understand the meaning behind these drawings. Thank you for drawing these works of art!
