Hi, so far it's 'isosceles', 'maw', 'effigy' and 'corrugation'. I don't think I've ever heard or read them before... No, all jokes aside, I just wanted to let you know that I'm enjoying this immensely. But it's quite late here and I'm feeling a little 'under the weather' (just a cold) so I'll go on reading tomorrow. I think I'm running out of words to say thank you...

"He smacks his lips and smiles the smile of a shark sizing up an oblivious swimmer."--oh that Crowley! Love how his attitude shines through with or without dialogue!

"Fuck," he yelps. "Fuckdammit! Fuck. What the fuck? You fucker."--I don't know why, but I just laughed my ass of. I fucking love it. ;), oh god, Crowley's follow up, "I see you haven't lost any of your charm." --bwahaha.

"What can I say? I've got a special place in my heart for young Castiel, despite his shortcomings. And they are short, believe me."--OMG, Zat, your Crowley just kills me. LOL. Loved that!

Crowley chuckles. "The woods are lonely, dark and deep, mate," he throws back over his shoulder as he starts picking his way back over to his rock.--I see what you did, there! You so PUNNY!

Castiel can see the tendrils of precious metals, the cursive loops of the mountain's vascular system. They pulse life with their gleam of silver and gold, and he can smell iron and coal as the rock exhales, a terrible beauty birthed here in the nothingness between ( ... )

Hey, bb! Yeah, I do get a kick out of writing Crowley. What a trolly bastard he is! Heh, if some of the newspaper ad sales guys I worked alongside in London knew how I'm using them as reference they would be… vexed! At another point, I had him look up and make some crack about a killing moon but I thought it'd be a bridge too far.

It's always interesting to try to describe something differently and in this case use the metaphor of circulatory system for the swirls in the rock and have it lead me to the notion that the place was somehow alive. The place is a great big metaphor for the Big Bad, so it works for later on too…

"I'm not the exposition fairy, mate, and this isn't the Department of Backstory. Forget it."

DYING. So very Crowley.

I do love writing Crowley, and using him to inject a sly bit of meta here and there! ;-)
