I have a question! When there are marks on the floor like this, when they do film, are the marks blocked by boots or other objects, do they edit them out later, or do they just use the marks for rehearsing and pull them up before filming?

They seem so obvious in these kind of behind-the-scenes shots, but I've never noticed anything on film.

I get asked this question about marks all the time.

Generally, they pull the marks up once they actually film the scene, especially if they will be seen by the camera. I know Director, Guy Bee was asked this question and he said that they'll sometimes leave the marks on the floor if they're not filming a wide shot where it wouldn't matter since the camera would never show them. However, I've been known to catch a few tape marks on the floor or ground in some episodes (it is rare though), so that's not always the case. :P
