I don't seem to have permission to add tags to my posts. (now logged into the right account)

Unfortuantely, on communities, they only let the moderators add tags. But once they're added, you can place them where you need them. What tags do you need?

No, sorry, I wasn't clear there. The tag exists, but I'm not given the option on the post to put tags on it.

Is there a minimum amount of fic that has to be posted to create an author tag? Because I have around 7-8 stories, and it would be neat to tag them by name but if not, I can use other categories.

No minimum at all. Whereever your stories are, please add the author tag. If you hasn't been added for you yet, I certainly don't mind doing it.:)
