A day late, I admit, but packing took a little longer than I anticipated yesterday.
ANYWAY!
Here it is the 1st SPN CRACK!FIC & ART CHALLENGE! *waits for gasps of awe and wonder*
It comes in two parts. You can do one or both (or neither I suppose). The more people the merrier, though, and if there's one thing that crack!fic is about, it's about merriness and gaiety and other various wonderful stuff.
Okay, first thing's first:
The Rules:
- All challenge entries must be new and first posted on this community between now and the 23rd July 2007 (being when this challenge will end). If you've got something on your computer that fits but you haven't previously posted online feel free to submit it.
-Cross-posting of stories and art is allowed, even encouraged. We are attempting to revive this community and therefore any publicity is good publicity.
-Clearly label your art/fic as Challenge Entry and then #1 or #2 depending on which part of the Challenge it is in response to.
-Do not restrain the crack... the weirder and wilder the better. IF you want to write about Sam and Dean being kidnapped by the Flying Spaghetti Monster and becoming princes of the far flung land of Wincestville feel free! As long as it can be seen to follow the challenge, go for it.
So... now for the challenge, which no doubt you have been waiting for avidly, or yawning with boredom.
CHALLENGE #1
Courtesy of
longhairedlady:
The REVERSAL Challenge. Take your favourite angsty scene/episode from the series (anything, whether it's Devil's trap, In My Time of Dying or Born Under a Bad Sign) and make it cracktastic.
Half the point of this community is to abate the masses of angsty, dark fic that exists in this fandom so, in the words of the Beatles: take a sad song and make it better only substitute scene for song.
CHALLENGE #2
The PHOBIA challenge. In the first series we had Phantom Traveller in which we discovered Dean's intense (and also quite hilarious) fear of flying, in the second we had Everybody Loves a Clown and Dean teased Sammy-boy mercilessly about his fear of clowns. That leaves us with one question: What was John's pet phobia? All answers behind a livejournal cut please!
Just a reminder - all entries should be submitted by the 23rd July. The winners will be decided by voting which will take place over the space of four days afterwards. Information on how to vote will be given nearer to the time. Happy ficcing/drawing/manip-ing.
