This line:
"Why not come with me?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. "I can show you the world."
Sent chills down my spine. You write Darla so elegantly. The reference to Angelus, and the fact that Darla is still searching for someone to travel with her, to care for her, to kill with/for her. Even as a vampire, with all the world before her, she's so incredibly empty and lonely.

You did such a great job with this fic. I love Bobby, and this was a very welcome and excellently written look back into his past.

I hate to ask (as a writer but I'm asking as a happy reader here), will there a sequel/companion piece? It would be great to see if Darla ever encountered Bobby again. Clearly this is set before Bobby becomes a Hunter. It would be very interesting to see Bobby, the Hunter, meet up with Darla years down the road.

So many questions and thoughts have been posed by this story. Great job!

Thank you! As far as I can remember, this is my first try at writing Darla. Or Bobby for that matter. I'm glad you think I wrote them well.

As to whether there will be a sequel or companion, I'm not sure. Originally I had intended that they just have a passing meeting and that Bobby never realizes how close he came to dying that night. But the more I think about it, the more I really like these two. Maybe I can think of something. Who knows, maybe one of the future challenges will inspire me.

I keep thinking back to that scene in "Born Under a Bad Sign" when Bobby refers to himself as a con man, and it makes me want to write him and Spike playing a card game.

I guess we'll see. :)
