They do seem to like to play up to certain character deficiencies, and who am I to argue?

If I was a great big soppy, I'd say something wet like "Their ability to laugh at themselves is just one of the reasons why we think they and the show are so great."

Thanks! I don't if it's true, but I have a vague recollection of once reading that Jensen originally applied for the role of Sam.... Wouldn't you just love to see how that turned out in some alternate universe?
