OMG! I love it! Dean is a stoic! I don't think I'd have been able to throw that cookie in the trash! That elf should've realized not to meddle with the Winchesters.

Thank you for commenting, so glad you enjoyed the story. I hope it read as a coherent piece, without the obvious new part sticking out like a sore thumb:-) A lot of the WW success stories involve "and I threw out that cookie/piece of cake/half of pie(!)" so Dean's discarding the magical cookie felt like the right thing to do, anything to keep Sammy safe.
It is so empowering to have this finished, finally. Finishing a drabble just iisn't the same:-)

Aw, I love this. Dean being all protective of Sam and his very, uh, blunt way of Dealing with Larry was part adorable and part hilarious! I wonder if he would have been quite so aggressive if Larry had been offering pie! Thanks for posting!

Awww LOL I just read this, and it's such a great window into their young lives - kinda sad, the way Dean has to do so much for Sam, and how little choice they have even though they don't go hungry, great insights into canon. I was totally unprepared for Dean's way of dealing with an elf who brought them extra cookies!! But given how many things in Supernatural are out to get them, probably for the best. Very Dean, he's clearly taken in Dad's training. But no wonder he got into trouble with fairyland in s6 with this history..! XD
