For what it's worth, I can barely boil a pot of water. My Hot Tip is to team up with someone who does like cooking or baking, and collaborate with them. Kate was definitely the baking-brains of our operation, whereas I took care of the decorations.
Ok I have never used this site before so I don't know my way around so could you please tell me were to put my pic of my supernatural food when I am ready?
Welcome, welcome! :) Basically, whenever you're ready, you just post your pictures and any notes you want to make about your entry to this comm.
I'm still fairly new to this community thing myself, but here's what I know about how to do it:
1) Join the community. At the top of this page is a link saying "To join this community, click here." Click it, and follow the instructions. (You'll need to be logged in to do this.)
2) When you're ready to post your creation(s), you start to create a post just like you would normally. You'll see one of the options right next to your userpic on the "Update Journal" page is a pull-down list saying "Post-to". Click on the pull-down list, and change the option to spn_bakeoff. Now when you post that journal entry, it will appear in the spn_bakeoff community. Ta da!

I'm definitely going to pull out the apron and try throwing something together (good thing I have plenty of time, cooking is not my strong point ;)
