Summary: The day life can be as dangerous as the hunting.

Sam had taken a nap and lay on the sofa when something woke him up. He felt how his whole body was tight and prepared to fly. Sam sat up, search for his stick and wished for he could have seen if there was this emergency he was feeling. Awake and up, Sam could smell that something had to be on fire. It smelled burnt.

"Bobby!" Sammy shouted.

The second went and he did not get any answer. Sam thought the smell getting stronger, so he had to move away or even try to find the source. Had it been before, there would have not been a problem, now he had no idea what he would get into. He began to get his way out from the living room, which he would have needed anyway. He continued calling for Bobby.

In the hall, he felt like there was smoke and it was in the direction of what he knew was the kitchen and the way out. Feeling the way along the left wall he notice the smell got stronger, and… he just remembered that he had put on a soup to get heated slowly during his nap. He tried to speed up, holding his breath.
The kitchen definitely was filled with the smoke. Sam bent, but lost his bearing. He had to rise and really try to get to the stove and get rid of the pot. Get it away from the stove. At the stove he found a towel that he took around the handle and went the steps to the sink. After placing the pot there he search for the lid, and when he found one and put it over for hopefully choke the smoke. He went back, trying to remember or figure out which way he would turn of the stove. He believed that he must have put it on all to hot.

Sam sure had a problem to know which was off or on. He turned it two bit to the left. Hoping that was what turning it off. He had to ask Bobby to mark the buttons so he would not do the mistake. He had to wait for see if he succeeded. The hot plate would be hot for a while. Until then he could open up the window and hope the smoke would disappear.

He felt kind of bad, not even managed to cook. He was a hopeless case, a blind hopeless case.
