Author Sign-Ups 2022
Welcome to the post for people who would like to write fic for this challenge! SIGN-UPS ARE NOW CLOSED.
Authors will be expected to write a fic with a minimum of 3,000 words, based on the art you choose in the Art Claims post. Art previews will go up on Thursday September 22nd. Claims will be first come, first served on Saturday, September 24th.
Fics must be beta read. You may refer to our beta-sign up post to contact people who have volunteered to help out, or use your own beta.
To SIGN UP, please leave a comment on this post with your user name, the URL of the primary journal you'll be using (LJ, DW, Tumblr, AO3, etc.) and a reliable e-mail address.
Writer sign-ups close Friday September 23rd at noon EDT (USA) = 18:00 CEST (Europe)
Please be sure you can commit to the obligations of this event.
We aim to make this event run as smoothly as possible for everyone; communication is very important! In addition to being inspired by the artwork you claim, you must communicate with the artist about content of the fic, as well as rating and warnings.
Mandatory rough drafts meeting the word count of 2,000 will be due Sunday, October 23rd.
Posting of fanwork collaborations will begin Monday, November 7th.
If you run into issues with hitting your deadlines, please contact your artist and let us know ASAP, so we can either discuss a possible extension, or assign a pinch-hitter. If you vanish without a trace or stop responding to us, you won't be welcomed to future RBs with us.
Please get in touch before signing up if you missed deadlines or didn't manage to post in the 2021 challenge, so we can straighten things out beforehand if needed.
We recommend that everyone who wishes to participate joins, watches and/or bookmarks the LJ community to make sure they do not miss important deadlines or updates to the challenge. We will only post abridged notifications on Tumblr, Twitter, Dreamwidth and Pillowfort, directing participants to check LJ for announcements.
