So, let's just assume God!Cas does all sorts of bad stuff and Sam and Dean have to fight him and it's all very dramatic but they manage to depower him SOMEHOW and...

Redemption arc. Like, skip all that first bit. Some ideas...

Cas dissapears and appears all depowered someplace else so everybody thinks he's dead till they run into him somehow and he's, like, living in a one room apt or on the street or something.

Cas didn't seek out Dean or anybody for the smae reason hecan't bring himself to enter a church-he's too ashamed.

Dean: Is this some messed up idea of penance?
Cas: Penance is a road to forgiveness.
Dean: Yeah, well, that's no reason to-
Cas: It's not penance.
Dean: ::blinks::
Cas: There's no forgiveness for me, Dean. Not ever.

More angst more better! Pain and suffering in multiple forms encouraged!

Oh, and if miraculously you can do something with Crowly's "a whore is whore is a whore" thing...awesome. Cause I totally thought that was hot.
