Any story with an Impala P.O.V. would be really, really, really good!

I will write this tomorrow! The plot bunny is upon me! First we sleep, then we write!

Sorry this took so long! I had to finish up my SPN Big Bang draft and get my beta reader on it! I hope this offering is everything you wish!

“McQueen, Eat Your Heart Out”

Cars, as a general rule, didn't gossip. It simply wasn't done and it didn't befit their noble profession. However, the Impala, affectionately named “baby” by her two attractive (for humans, anyway) drivers, could not resist bragging about everything she had seen. The stories she could tell (and had told, to her sly amusement) had caused muffler combustion and grille loss in those less well-built than her ( ... )

Thank you for this beautiful story! I really like how you write about how fond she is of 'her humans' :) And how proud she is to be their car.
And of course she is a she, haha.

Naturally she's a woman. The most kickass woman of them all!

I'm really glad you liked it! Once you said "Impala POV," I HAD to write this!

Aww, this was fantastic! I love that she remembers fondly when Sam became the Knight Rider car, and that she takes care of the only-attractive-for-humans Sam and Dean.

The episode where Sam became KITT was my absolute favorite episode, except for the initial Trickster episode.

I totally adore Gabriel/Loki. Any episode he's in usually makes me laugh like a loon.

It just made sense to me that the Impala wouldn't find them attractive in a car-sense. Of course, now that I've brought it up, the potential for crack increases!

YES YES YES Gabriel!!

I was the biggest Knight Rider fan way back when, so seeing that in the episode, how they filmed the car from all the same angles and all the wonderful details, was transporting. *Dean rummaging in trunk* "Um, Dean ... that feels kind of uncomfortable." *slam* "Ow."

Potential for crack increasing ... along with potential to analyze this to ridiculous lengths. I confess I did have the thought "Well, Dean finds the Impala beautiful, so maybe she might find him so, too ...?"

Well, she likes his hands. That's always important as a starter.

Knight Rider and I are not familiar, though I understand a lot of the references. I have caught one or two of the older episodes, and I attempted to watch that gawdawful newer version when it came out, but the only good things it had were (1) the hot driver and (2) Val Kilmer as KITT. Everything else was really horrible.

Gabriel will never NOT be awesome.

Oh, I'm glad to hear the new version sucked so I don't have to try it out, but ah, Friday nights when Knight Rider was on! I remember a mean babysitter once wouldn't let me watch it and I was SO depressed--these were the days before VCRs were common. It was so validating to see my nephew thought it was just as awesome as I did when he saw some reruns in my college apt!

I'm pretty sure I have all the same favorite '70's and '80's t.v. reference points as the creators of SPN, based on things I've read and stuff they've put in the show. No wonder I love it so much!! :-D

What an excellent story! Of course Baby is proud! (The KITT reference is wonderful.

Had he been a mahogany-colored version of what they had had together, she would have liked rolling down the road into the sunsets with him while the shorter human maintained their engines.

Now that's love.

It is love indeed. I wonder if I could create a Sam/Dean/Baby post for the Poly challenge going on now...or would that just be crack-tacular?
