Summary: Sometimes it feels as if a child can ask more questions than a parent has answers

“Daddy, why do the birds sing?”
John clenched his teeth together as Dean fired off the next question in a long line of questions he had felt the need to ask since he had crawled out of bed that morning. “I don’t know, son. Ask your mother.”
With a huge sigh of relief, John leaned against the big oak tree that shaded the yard as he watched his son wobble into the house in search of his mother. But his momentary peace was short lived.
“Daddy?”
Slowly, John righted himself and waited for the next question he knew was coming.
“Why do cars go vroom?”
A huge smile spread across John’s face as he picked up his son and walked towards the Impala. Even though he was positive that Mary had spoon-fed the question to Dean he felt a surge of relief; finally, there was a question he was confident he could answer.
