They are all fairly simple in terms of composition/lighting/colouring, partly because I wanted to focus on the cropping element for the theme, but also because I' ( Read more... )

I'm so excited that the challenge got you back into making an full 16-icon set! This post is beautiful, and perfect for the theme, these crops are all kinds of fabulous.

My top favirte might be 8, the crop + warm, muted coloring just work so well on every level, what an emotionally impactful icon. 10 is great too, the crop is perfect to draw attention to all the details - the glove, the jewelry, the subtle lighting.
Love everything about 15, the muted coloring is gorgeous and I lovelovelove the crop.

It's awesome that you include the caps, I wish more people did that, I love seeing the difference and a bit of the thought process (but I get why it's not more popular cause it must be a lot of work!). In this set it was especially interesting to see which part of the cap drew your attention, some of these crops were super unexpected when comparing to the entire cap, like in 3 and 6 and 12 (love the way you made this scene darker and moodier than the cap).

Gorgeous work, thanks so much for entering! <3

Thank you so much!

I'm the same, I love seeing where people started with a cap and where they got to with the icon!
