More for theiconthrone, lots of deep colouring (especially gem tones), emotions+close crops, some (long overdue) remakes, lots of monochrome, first Spooks icons in years. Also this month I started to link each icon to the original screencap(s), so that people can see how the original image was adapted, but also so that when I come to do inevitable remakes I have all the screencaps handy!

More Castle, more Disney, first entries for calendarsquares so more monochrome/duotone icons, revisiting old fandoms. Also this month I switch from PhotoBucket to upl.co and OMGOSH THE DIFFERENCE. It is so simple in design and without faff and it combines Photobucket’s perk of keeping the original filename plus Imgur’s easy-to-use interface. 10/10 would recommend. (Only quirk is that you have to log-in twice each time you log-in, and it doesn’t keep you logged in once you leave the browser, but that’s more of a quirk than an issue).

OverallI think overall I definitely became more comfortable with using text. I expanded the variety of textures I use, and experimented more with colouring, cropping and lighting, rather than sticking almost-exclusively with my comfort levels there. I also realised I love jewel tone colours! Overall I’m pretty happy with my progress, especially considered I had so much going on in RL!
2017 Resolutions- Even more text icons!
- More complex compositions!
- Learn how to use animated textures! (Side note: learn how to gif stuff too)
