British Fantasy Society’s annual conference,

And if I thought I could write comics -- but I suspect I'm too untidy a writer to do it -- I would so want to write superheroes. I want to make The Swordsman cool. I want to create a woman swashbuckling superheroine with the skills of Michelle Yeoh, the cunning of Aramis, the verve of d'Artagnan. Oh, yes.

oh, yes... and I've bought a DC 52 comic, I'm a regular reader of superheroes, also 2000AD, and have been in really rather similar positions to that in panels myself.
Though many will say that's proof that my iteration of comics fandom -- being non-female-standard -- is anomalous data that can be dismissed
