You saw it coming....
Well, kids. Things have been slow round here in both terms of management and playerbase-- with totally understandable reasons, too.
I know some of you saw this coming, but with the lack of activity and the new jobs our three mods landed (+1 promotion from one of the other anon helpers!), the magical Land of Splendor will be closing its doors to the public this coming Halloween! It's a sad event, but it was a good run-- more than a year of craziness and other magical mishaps, tears and laughter. We couldn't have made it here without any of you, or your enthusiasm to keep this running. We want to extend a deep apology to those who just apped this round, but it is unfair for them to come to a game with such little activity.
In any case, a big mingle post will be made on Halloween where everyone will receive a visit from one of Splendor's most trusted, yet most elusive methods of transportation: a majestic pegasus will present itself in front of your character, and should your character choose to ride it, he or she will be able to leave Splendor to go back to the place they originally belonged to. For this particular event, CHARACTERS WHO WERE ONCE IN THE GAME WILL BE WELCOMED, AS WELL. They probably saw a pegasus back in their homeworlds and with the same principle, if they felt the strong desire to ride them, they will be transported back to Splendor so they can take back their friends with them and finally free them from this strange place. If you want to bring in characters that were not in the game before, however are from canons of characters that were here before or that had CR in previous games with your characters, you're free to bring them, as well! The city will have a spooky decor all throughout the week, and you're free to interpret that as you wish!
We do apologize for our lack of attention, seeing as we didn't expect to get so caught up with things concerning the lives of adults, but that's how things work, right? And we're sure you all had some degree of fun in this place, and for that, we count ourselves blessed. Thank you for forming part of this tale, and we hope you look back on this experience with fond memories. ♥
