[Amongst the many other new arrivals, was this particular girl. Young, petite and blond and currently wandering a little aimlessly and a little frightened around Metropolis district while trying hard not to come into contact with others around her. Naminé found her way out of the City Hall earlier, in hopes of finding where she was now, but that ( Read more... )

[It's also great timing for an extremely large (and no doubt familiar) black coat to fall around her shoulders, nearly engulfing Namine's thin body.

That would be Lexaeus'.]

Naminé.

[A simple greeting. There's no explanation offered for what he's doing in the Metropolis district. He's hard to read as usual. But looking at the Dusk which hovers near his shoulder could offer some clues: it's holding a bag filled with books. Someone's been shopping.]

[Feeling the sudden weight of the coat on her shoulders nearly makes Naminé jump. It was big and leathery and their was a strange feeling about it.

She shrinks her head into her shoulders, probably out of embarrassment that someone would give their coat to something like her, and tugs on it to make sure that it doesn't slip off her shoulders. But she's curious. Who would wear a coat this big and give it to her? She can't take it.]

[So when she turns around to find out who it is and hears her name, she literally does jump.]

L-Lexaeus?!

[Her sketchbook and seal fall to the ground in her surprise while her eyes go wide. There was just no way, no way that he could be here. He was gone, defeated in Castle Oblivion almost a year ago. She knew that. Axel was the only one whole survived. So how could he be here if there was nothing left?

In her panic, she starts trying to move backwards to gain some distance between the two of them. Only her shoe ends up slipping on the excess of the coat, making her stumble backwards even more.]

Ah!

[To be completely honest, the reaction isn't one that completely surprises him. No one in the Organization was ever particularly kind to the artist in the first place. That was putting it lightly. At best, the girl could earn a neutral standing among them. At worst... Well. Marluxia and Larxene never were individuals Lexaeus would have referred to as exemplary caretakers.

He still likes to believe that he was one of the least 'cruel' members. Perhaps not perfectly kind, but then, could any of them be called as such? Yet so long as she did her duty, he had no qualms with her.

It's for that and old habits that he quickly steps forward, bending to catch the girl before she falls and hurts herself.]

[/insert bike theme here....

Ash is on his hourly stroll, since he didn't like staying in one place too often. Of course, Ash doesn't notice people.

But Pikachu does!]

Pikaa?

[Well, to be fair, Naminé tries her best to stay unnoticed. But when she notices Pikachu looking at her, she stops and stares back. It didn't look like anything from her world, or any animal she knows.]

Mmm?

Pikapi, pika!

[And Ash appears--]

Oh, hey! Seems like Pikachu's been findin' a lot of new friends lately.

[Pikas and pis; is that all it can say? She helplessly blinks at him until Ash appears. But, mm, another human. She clutches the sketchbook a little tighter around her.]

Oh, um, is it... your pet?

[If Roxas had learned anything in the last two months it was that it really was okay to approach other people and talk to them most of the time. He was never completely positive if he could trust anyone at first, but he felt like his initial judgment of people was getting better.

This is why he stopped walking when he noticed her nearby. His first thought was that he should check if she was all right, so after a moment he changed direction and headed toward her.]

You okay?

[Trying to shake off that cool chill from the wind, she doesn't notice Roxas until he speaks up. But that mostly took her mind off the weather and put all of her attention on the teen in front of her.

Because it couldn't be, and it shouldn't really be possible to hear that voice again. Roxas went back to Sora some time ago. There shouldn't be any possible explanation for seeing him, unless that meant that something happened to Sora...

She's staring, and it takes Naminé a good moment to realize that she is and shake herself out of it. But it really is quite shocking and worrisome to see him like this.] I-I'm fine, Roxas. Just, it's... cold here.

[Her staring confused him enough, but he now returned her surprised gazed. He'd gotten "Ven" from a few people, but...]

You know my name?

[It's going to be a conversation dominated by odd staring contests. She blinks again, and then furrows her brows, actually starting to worry a bit now. Did something happen to his memories that she wasn't aware of?]

Y-yeah, of course I do. We met in Twilight Town before. Don't you... remember?

[Riku is surprised and concerned when he spots the blond girl on the street, shouldn't she be in Twilight Town watching over Sora? But then again, there is the matter of Sora also being here and no older than five at most - it confuses Riku to no end and if anyone could help him figure out it's Naminé. Though first he should probably get her to safety; to somewhere warm, where they would be able to talk in peace.]

Naminé!

[Surprise is definitely the theme today. Hearing her name in a familiar voice that she hasn't heard in a while grabs her attention, but it's the sight of the white haired boy that completely stops her in her tracks.

On one hand, here he was looking normal, or at least as normal as wearing the blindfold on and she was happy about that. Meant that one of the last things went to be the way they were. But on the other hand, not more than ten minutes ago had she seen him in another form. And after spending so much like that, she doubted that a solution for him could be found in such a short time.

She stared, not intensely, but just completely dumbfounded. Even the sketchbook slipped out of her arms and fell to the ground again.]

R-Riku? Is that... you?

justabignobody December 11 2010, 22:13:22 UTC
[Yeah, Riku has had quite a bit of that too, over to course of the last few days. He raises an eyebrow as he walks up to her, bending down to pick up her sketchbook when he reaches her.]

Of course. Were you expecting someone else?

[He sounds slightly amused, but underneath that Naminé's words and reaction worry him. He straightens again and offers her the sketchbook, lifting his other hand in order to summon a Dark Corridor.] Lets get some place warmer, okay?

Uh, n-no. [It takes her just a moment to come out of her shock and very carefully take the book back and go back to clinging onto it. She's probably made him worried by reacting like that, since he actually managed to stay relatively calm in comparison, like nothing happened to him yet.]

Y-yeah, sure. [She starts to make her way to the Corridor, but she would follow his lead. Despite her reaction and confusion, she was happy to see someone she recognized and knew here.]
